There are so many methods that you can use to learn how to play the guitar, but the
method that is becoming more and more popular is to find a site that can teach you
to learn guitar online – It’s the easiest way.

Guitar teachers, although very effective and a great way to learn how to play, can
be very expensive and time consuming. Trying to find time in your busy schedule to
go to guitar lessons can be impossible. But you don’t have to worry about that if
you learn guitar online. You can fit your lessons in whenever YOU have time.

It may take you a little “Surfing the net” to find a site that you want to use to
learn guitar. But the great thing about it is if you search hard enough you can
come across online guitar lessons that are very inexpensive, and sometimes free.

The great thing about online lessons is you can go at your own pace. If you are a
slow learner, you don’t have to worry about paying hourly for lessons. This can be
frustrating along with expensive. With online lessons, you don’t have to worry
about that. The resources are there when you want them, and don’t have to be
squeezed into an hour lesson. If you want to learn for 2 hours or only a half
hour, that’s your call.

When using online lessons, there are many resources available to help you. There
are images, videos tutorials, audio tutorials and many other tools for you to use.
The great thing is that the resources are available to you at the click of a
button. And you can learn as quickly or slowly as you wish.

Whether you are looking to play to your family members or want to be on the big
stage in front of millions, once you begin to learn guitar online, you will have a
great start. There are so many options for you to choose from, that there has to be
one out there that can suit you needs and style.

A great technique that is taught to many beginners when they want to learn guitar
online is to listen first and play later. Knowing the songs ins and outs before
you try to play it is a great tool. Online lessons provide you with the
instructions that will help you master this skill.

For most beginners, you already have 3 skills you were born with that will make
learning online much easier; Sight, Hearing and Touch. Being able to visualize
what you need to play is a great benefit and there are so many images available.
Hearing what your guitar should sound like is also a huge benefit. The video and
audio sounds are a great tool for this. And of course, touch is used when actually
playing your guitar. Feel the positions of your fingers, and knowing your guitar!

In conclusion, if you want to learn guitar and don’t want to pay the expensive costs
of a private tutor, learn guitar online – Its the easiest way. Don’t waste anymore
time. Get searching online sites. Look for tutorials that have had positive
comments from previous users. Practice often, stay positive. Play to family
members and friends. Even the simplest songs will impress them, and this will also
show them just how far you have come!

An acoustic guitar is such a beautiful sounding instrument and there are so many people that want to learn to play the guitar, but so many get discouraged because of many reasons. But fear not, because there are various ways to learn how to play and acoustic guitar. Don’t let blistered fingers discourage you!

Before we start, you need to have an acoustic guitar. If you don’t have your own, ask people you know if they have one you can borrow for a while. You may also use a pick, but if you don’t have one you can strum with your fingers. Using a pick is not as rough on your fingers, so might help you to be able to practice for longer if you use one.

The first step when learning to play an acoustic guitar is to make sure it is tuned correctly. If you don’t know how to tune your guitar either find someone who can, or you can purchase tuners at a music store.

Next is finding a resource that is suitable for you to teach you. There are various ways to learn how to play an acoustic guitar and finding the right method to teach you is key. You can get private lessons, ask a friend or relative that knows how to play to teach you, get books or go online. Learning online is an endless fountain of knowledge. You can get free information, or paid depending on what you are looking for. There are ebooks, tutorials, videos and many more ways online that can help you.

Now you must find a place you are comfortable in to play. Weather you are sitting or standing, your guitar must be supported. If you are sitting you can support it on your leg and if you are standing, you will need a strap to hold it up. For right handed players, you will need to place your left hand on the neck of the guitar over the frets, and your right hand will be on the strings over the sound hole.

Along with your hands, your ears are an important part of your body when it comes to playing the acoustic guitar. Listening to the music your guitar creates helps you not only keep in time, but also lets you know if you are in tune. It’s also important to use your eyes to be able to see where you are placing your fingers and read the chords, but for the blind they don’t have that option, yet many blind people can play the guitar beautifully. And you know why? Because they use their ears! I can’t stress how important it is to listen to the music you are playing.

The beautiful thing about the acoustic guitar is that it doesn’t need and amplifier to be heard. It is a whole instrument in itself. All it needs is someone to play it!

If you feel like you are getting nowhere with your guitar learning, start over. Go back to the basics. Memorize the basic chords until you know them with your eyes closed. There are a few chords that are used as building blocks for many songs and they are C, A, G, E, and D. You can find out how to play these notes free online if you don’t already know them.

And lastly, after considering all the various ways to learn how to play an acoustic guitar, keep on practicing. You have come this far. Don’t give up now. Everyone had to start somewhere. Just think you can only get better from here. But the main thing is to have fun while you’re learning!

It is thought that learning to play a new instrument is very difficult and the electric guitar is one of those “hard to learn” instruments, but if you are given the right tools and techniques, you can Learn to play the Electric Guitar in minutes. So get ready to learn some interesting facts that will help you achieve your goal.

First, you must not be intimidated by the thought of playing the electric guitar. It is a good idea to take the time and learn all that you can about the guitar and its fret board. To aide you with this task you can buy a diagram of the notes and strings on a guitar. Having this on the wall while you are practicing will help you tremendously.

Learning the positioning of the notes on the fret board is key, and this is accomplished by practice, practice, practice. Don’t expect this to come over night. And don’t spend hours a day studying this. Instead spend approximately 10 minutes per day on this task. Success for most beginners is gained from the knowledge of the notes and fret board.

Another major factor in learning to play the electric guitar is using your ears. You must listen to the pitch and tone of the notes you are playing. This requires much concentration, and is a very important part of learning. First play the note on your electric guitar, then sing the note in the same key you just played. Repeat this several times with different notes. Once this is easy for you, do it in reverse. Sing a note, then play it on the guitar. Hearing if the note you sang, and the note you played are the same is where ear training comes in. Practicing this for about 10 minutes a day will help immensely.

And lastly, do some chromatic guitar exercises and scales. These will help you develop muscle memory and help your fingers move more cleanly across the strings, developing a cleaner sound. Start off with simple ones and as you feel more confident, move on to harder ones.

These are three major components that will assist you when you begin your lessons. If you practice these three tips before you begin with actual guitar lessons, your journey will be much simpler.

Patience is a major factor in learning the electric guitar. If you can devote 30 minutes a day to practicing these techniques, you will go very far, very quickly. An essential part of the learning process is to make sure you are having fun. If it’s not fun, then you won’t learn. It will feel too much like work and not play!

You will have to dedicate a lot of your time practicing these skills I have mentioned if you want to be able to play “like the pro’s”, but believe me it will be worth it in the end. Just think how you will feel when you “WOW” your family and friends the first time you play your favorite song for them on the guitar!

When it comes down to mastering anything you need to start with the basics and learning to play a guitar is no different. You must first have a guitar that you can practice on. It makes life much easier if you can have hands on practice. Once you have the guitar, you must learn to play guitar notes. Along the neck of the guitar are frets and strings. Each of these strings, when pressed down in certain areas of the guitar makes different sounds. These sounds are called notes, and each note has a different letter to represent the sound.

Although it seems like a lot to learn, once you are more familiar with where the notes are and the sound they make, it becomes much easier. Don’t let the daunting look of the guitar discourage you in any way. All you have to do is start simple.

Playing any song on the guitar is simplified if you know the notes that are involved in the song. But first you must know how to actually figure out those notes. So the best place to start is the basics. Each string has a note. E,A,D,G,B,E are the open string notes (meaning you don’t have your finger on any of the strings) starting at the top string going down to the bottom string.

Starting on the bottom string (E) there are 3 easy notes you can learn to begin with. The open string is E. F is when you press your finger on the first string on the first fret, and G is pressing on the third fret. The next string up is the B string. Open string is B, pressing the second string on the second fret makes a C and the third fret is a D. And here is where you can start. Learn these notes and their placements well and you can start doing some finger exercises using them.

Knowing the notes and what they are called is a great foundation for learning the guitar. At first, maybe saying them out loud, to help you get more familiar with them will benefit you, but once you have learnt them confidently, you should play them without saying them. This will help you then know the sound that each note makes. Once you have these down, you will be able to start to play simple songs, such as nursery rhymes.

Once you are confident with the first two strings, move on to the next which is the G string. G is the open string and A is on the first fret. Adding these notes to the ones you already know and you are well on your way! Make sure you start out with simple songs. You don’t want to jump right in and get discouraged by trying to tackle a complicated one. Nursery Rhymes are the best place to start. No matter what age, we all know a nursery rhyme or two right?

Learning to play the guitar is not as hard as it looks as long as you have the determination and time to dedicate to it. You don’t have to pay an instructor to teach you if you have the knowledge to find the resources available to you. There are multiple DVD’s, books and online courses out there. No matter how you learn or who teaches you, the degree of your success is up to you. If you don’t want to learn, you won’t. Motivation starts with you.

Not many people know that at the root of all songs is the Bass Guitar. If you listen to a song and pay very close attention, you will hear that the bass gives the song life and soul. Learning to play the Bass guitar is something that many have mastered, and it is a beautiful instrument if played well. Once you learn how to play bass guitar you will not be disappointed.

For the most part, when an individual is interested in learning how to play a song, they are drawn to the electric or acoustic guitar. This is due to the fact that hearing someone that is educated on an acoustic or electric guitar play can be beautiful. But when listening deeper into the song you can feel the power of the Bass guitar. When you hear a song and there is no Bass line, you can tell there is something missing, almost like the heartbeat of the song.

When looking at a Bass guitar, the noticeable difference is that there are usually only 4 strings and also the strings on a Bass are much thicker than that of an electric or acoustic guitar. Also the body of a Bass guitar is usually bigger. Bass guitars are made from many different types of wood depending on the year they were made, and the model of the guitar.

Once you learn how to play Bass Guitar you will see that for the most part there are no chords involved as in the tradition guitar method of playing. The notes are usually single string notes played constantly throughout the song. This gives the rest of the band timing and helps the band to stay together. If chords were played on a bass, it would overpower the rest of the instruments.

There are several things to keep in mind when you have made the decision to learn how to play bass guitar.

* The beat of the song is important. The bass, along with the drums, are the root of the song and being in touch with the beat of the song makes for a good Bass player. The band can only stay in time if the Bass and Drums are in time too.

* Bass guitars are tuned the same way as a standard guitar, but on a bass, the tone of the note is much deeper. This is due to the fact that the stings on the Bass are much thicker, producing a deeper sound. Knowing how to tune a regular guitar will essentially help you in tuning a bass.

* There are frets along the neck of the bass as there are on a standard guitar. Placing your fingers in the correct position on the strings and frets is essential, and knowing where the notes are along the neck is important.

* Having strong fingers is not essential, but definitely helps. The strings on the bass are very think and heavy and having good hand strength helps to make the notes more crisp and clear.

Keeping these things in mind when you learn how to play the Bass guitar will definitely benefit you. There are several methods of learning the bass guitar. You can go to private lessons; teach yourself from books, from DVD’s and other methods. These tips will aid you in which ever method you decide to use.

So what are you waiting for? Practice makes perfect, so don’t waste any more time. Pick yourself out a Bass and get going.
